Sails, Rigging and Spars

Sail wardrobe:

  • Sanders Spinnaker with spinnaker pole and related gear (1996, in excellent condition, little used)
  • a hank-on Sanders No.4 Genoa to go on the removable forestay (2000, excellent shape except for one or two marks)
  • a hank-on Sanders Storm Jib (2000, unused)
  • A Sanders trysail with dedicated track on the mast (2000, unused)
  • Roller furling Sanders genoa (1996, patched)
  • Slab reefing Sanders mainsail with 3 reefing points (1996), with blue sail cover

A removable inner forestay together with dedicated Spectra halyard, and dedicated sheets. The Spectra halyard means a very tight luff is possible with the No.4 or storm jib in a strong wind, essential for efficient sailing to windward.
Wild Call had a new forestay in 2007

Selden mast and boom, with rod kicker.

Deck hardware

8 x Lewmar winches - 2x two speed genoa sheet winches, 2 x spinnaker sheet winches, 4 x halyard and reefing winches (two in cockpit, two on the mast)

Anchor winch (Simpson Lawrence, manual)
Two anchors, CQR and Bruce-type, and two set of chain/rodes. Bruce anchor is the stern anchor and is pushpit-mounted.
Tiller extension
A stainless steel boarding ladder - though note that this cannot be mounted while the Windpilot windvane selfsteering is in place
