Wild Call was the first of the 'new generation' Contessas, built in 1996 by Jeremy Rogers. Rogers began in 1996 to build a very limited number of hand made Contessas to a high specification. Wild Call was built as a showcase to launch the new generation at the London Boat Show, with amongst other improvements a smart redesigned interior with increased headroom, use of isopthalic resin, and extra stiffening in the hull to produce an even stronger boat. She grabbed the attention of the yachting press at her launch (see articles link).
In the last few years Wild Call's adventures have taken her from her original home base in Lymington to the Baltic and back twice, visiting France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the Aland islands, Russia, Estonia and Latvia along the way. She was the first foreign visiting yacht to overwinter in Latvia since the break up of the Soviet Union. A number of articles have been published about her travels in the yachting press.
She is now for sale, with full inventory, for £56,000
now reduced to £49,000.
She is ashore at Burnham on Crouch.
